bf05929f41 fbdev: add events for early fb event support
Add FB_EARLY_EVENT_BLANK and FB_R_EARLY_EVENT_BLANK event mode supports.
first, fb_notifier_call_chain() is called with FB_EARLY_EVENT_BLANK and
fb_blank() of specific fb driver is called and then
fb_notifier_call_chain() is called with FB_EVENT_BLANK again at
fb_blank().  and if fb_blank() was failed then fb_nitifier_call_chain()
would be called with FB_R_EARLY_EVENT_BLANK to revert the previous
effects.

aa523a82ee blacklight: remove redundant spi driver bus initialization
In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of
an spi_driver to spi_bus_type.  These days this is done in
spi_driver_register() so we can drop the manual assignment.

The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch:

3f31d07571 mm/fs: route MADV_REMOVE to FALLOC_FL_PUNCH_HOLE
Now tmpfs supports hole-punching via fallocate(), switch madvise_remove()
to use do_fallocate() instead of vmtruncate_range(): which extends
madvise(,,MADV_REMOVE) support from tmpfs to ext4, ocfs2 and xfs.

There is one more user of vmtruncate_range() in our tree,
staging/android's ashmem_shrink(): convert it to use do_fallocate() too
(but if its unpinned areas are already unmapped - I don't know - then it
would do better to use shmem_truncate_range() directly).

f623881872 mm: fix off-by-one bug in print_nodes_state()
/sys/devices/system/node/{online,possible} outputs a garbage byte
because print_nodes_state() returns content size + 1.  To fix the bug,
the patch changes the use of cpuset_sprintf_cpulist to follow the use at
other places, which is clearer and safer.

This bug was introduced in v2.6.24 (commit bde631a518: "mm: add node
states sysfs class attributeS").

dbe9a2edd1 ACPI / PM: Make acpi_pm_device_sleep_state() follow the specification
The comparison between the system sleep state being entered
and the lowest system sleep state the given device may wake up
from in acpi_pm_device_sleep_state() is reversed, because the
specification (ACPI 5.0) says that for wakeup to work:

"The sleeping state being entered must be less than or equal to the
 power state declared in element 1 of the _PRW object."

In other words, the state returned by _PRW is the deepest
(lowest-power) system sleep state the device is capable of waking up
the system from.

Moreover, acpi_pm_device_sleep_state() also should check if the
wakeup capability is supported through ACPI, because in principle it
may be done via native PCIe PME, for example, in which case _SxW
should not be evaluated.

38c92fff98 ACPI / PM: Make __acpi_bus_get_power() cover D3cold correctly
After recent changes of the ACPI device power states definitions, if
power resources are not used for the device's power management, the
state returned by __acpi_bus_get_power() cannot exceed D3hot, because
the return values of _PSC are 0 through 3.  However, if the _PR3
method is not present for the device and _PS3 returns 3, we have to
assume that the device is in D3cold, so the value returned by
__acpi_bus_get_power() in that case should be 4.

Similarly, acpi_power_get_inferred_state() should take the power
resources for the D3hot state into account in general, so that it
can return 3 if those resources are "on" or 4 (D3cold) otherwise.

Fix the the above two issues and make sure that if both _PSC and
_PR3 are present for the device, the power resources listed by _PR3
will be used to determine if the number 3 returned by _PSC is meant
to represent D3cold or D3hot.

c10d7a1384 ACPI / PM: Generate wakeup events on fixed power button
When the system is woken up by the ACPI fixed power button, currently there
is no way of userspace becoming aware that the power button was pressed.

OLPC would like to know this, so that we can respond appropriately.
For example, if the system was woken up by a network packet, we know
we can go back to sleep very quickly. But if the user explicitly woke the
system with the power button, we're going to want to stay awake for a
while.

The wakeup count mechanism seems like a good fit for communicating this.
Mark the fixed power button as wakeup-enabled, and increment its wakeup
counter when the system is woken with the power button. (The wakeup counter
is also incremented when the power button is pressed during system
operation; this is already handled by an existing acpi-button codepath).

c3b2003792 drm/i915: Reset last_retired_head when resetting ring
When we reset the ring control registers, including the HEAD and TAIL of
the ring, we also need to reset associated state. In this instance, we
were failing to reset the cached value of ring->last_retired_head and so
upon the first request for more space following a resume would
potentially (depending on a narrow race window) believe that the HEAD had
advanced much further than reality.

[drivers/net/wireless/ti/wlcore/wlcore.ko] undefined!

code in drivers/net/wireless/ti/wlcore/acx.c is using these
functions unconditionally while they are #ifdefed CONFIG_PM.
Fix it by ifdefing all relevant RX filters code with CONFIG_PM.

81357a281d ath9k: fix a use-after-free-bug when ath_tx_setup_buffer() fails
ath_tx_setup_buffer() can fail if there is no ath_buf left, or if mapping DMA
failed. In this case it frees the skb passed to it.
If ath_tx_setup_buffer is called from ath_tx_form_aggr, the skb is still
linked into the tid buffer list and must be dequeued before being released.

ceea2a5196 ath9k: stop rx dma before stopping tx
It has been found that active Rx can interfere with stopping tx DMA, which
could result in at least parts of those "Failed to stop Tx DMA!" messages.
Stopping rx before tx should prevent that.

8f6576ad47 tty: fix ldisc lock inversion trace
This is caused by tty_release using tty_lock_pair to lock both sides of
the pty/tty pair, and then tty_ldisc_release dropping and relocking one
side only.  We can drop both fine, so drop both to avoid any lock
ordering concerns.

Rework the release path to fix the new locking model.

d3ca8b64b9 pty: Fix lock inversion
The ptmx_open path takes the tty and devpts locks in the wrong order
because tty_init_dev locks and returns a locked tty.  As far as I can
tell this is actually safe anyway because the tty being returned is new
so nobody can get a reference to lock it at this point.

However we don't even need the devpts lock at this point, it's only held
as a byproduct of the way the locks were pushe down.

c895305e80 video: bfin_adv7393fb: Fix cleanup code
This patch fixes the cleanup code of the bfin_adv7393_fb_probe
function.

1) The resources were not freed in the order that we allocated them
   so we call dma_free_coherent() before it was allocated.
2) The labels weren't in the right place which also meant that we
   freed resources that weren't allocated.
3) We should free gpio_free(P_IDENT(P_PPI0_FS3)) before returning.
4) Lets change the label names into something more meaningful.

This function is called with a potential NULL pointer in
picolcd_init_framebuffer() and it causes a static checker warning.  This
used to handle NULL pointers when the picolcd code was written, but a
couple months later we added the "info->apertures" dereference.

1ebf169ad4 drm/radeon: fix XFX quirk
Only override the ddc bus if the connector doesn't have
a valid one.  The existing code overrode the ddc bus for
all connectors even if it had ddc bus.

Fixes ddc on another XFX card with the same pci ids that
was broken by the quirk overwriting the correct ddc bus.

52c2d9aad4 mtd: docg3 fix in-middle of blocks reads
Corner case reads do not work, and return false data and
ECC. This case is typically seen in a ubifs usage, with a
read of type:
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_oob(from=14882415, mode=1,
 data=(c30eca40:12), oob=(  (null):0))

This results in the following reads:
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_data_area(buf=  (null), len=111)
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_data_area(buf=c30eca40, len=12)
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_data_area(buf=  (null), len=389)
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_data_area(buf=  (null), len=0)
 - docg3 docg3: doc_read_data_area(buf=  (null), len=16)

If we suppose that the pages content is :
 - bytes 0 .. 111   : 0x0a
 - bytes 112 .. 255 : 0x0f
Then the returned bytes will be :
 - 111 times 0x0a (correct)
 - 0x0a 2 times and 0x0f 10 times (incorrect, should be
 0x0a,0x0f)
 - 0x0f 389 times (correct)
 - nothing
 - correct OOB

The reason seams that the first 111 bytes read ends between
the 2 docg3 planes, and that the first following read (in
the 12 bytes sequence, read of 16 bit word) returns the byte
of the rightmost plane duplicated in high and lower byte of
the word.

Fix this behaviour by ensuring that if the previous read
ended up in-between the 2 planes, there will be a first 1
byte read to get back to the beginning of leftmost plane.

0bf09e829d i7core: fix ranks information at the per-channel struct
There is a flag at the per-channel struct that indicates if there are
any 4R dimm on it. The way the presence of this flag were reported
is not ok, as it might give the false idea that the channel were filled
with 2R memories:

So, use a better way to represent the per-channel ranks information.

64e1fdaf55 i5000_edac: Fix the logic that retrieves memory information
The logic there is broken: it basically creates two csrows for
each DIMM and assumes that all DIMM's are dual rank. Only one of
the csrows will contain the entire DIMM size. If single rank
memories are found, they'll be marked with 0 bytes.

The check if the AMB is present were also wrong.

Yet, as the error reports don't use the memory size in order to
credit an error to the right DIMM, that part of the driver seems
to work. That's why probably nobody detected the issue yet.

After this patch, the memory layout is now properly reported,
when debug mode is enabled, and the number of ranks per dimm is
now shown:

While userspace doesn't fill the dimm labels, add there the dimm location,
as described by the used memory model. This could eventually match what
is described at the dmidecode, making easier for people to identify the
memory.

For example, on an Intel motherboard where the DMI table is reliable,
the first memory stick is described as:

The memory named as "A1_DIMM0" is physically located at the first
memory controller (node 0), at channel 0, dimm slot 0.

After this patch, the memory label will be filled with:
	/sys/devices/system/edac/mc/csrow0/ch0_dimm_label:mc#0channel#0slot#0

And (after the new EDAC API patches) as:
	/sys/devices/system/edac/mc/mc0/dimm0/dimm_label:mc#0channel#0slot#0

So, even if the memory label is not initialized on userspace, an useful
information with the error location is filled there, expecially since
several systems/motherboards are provided with enough info to map from
channel/slot (or branch/channel/slot) into the DIMM label. So, letting the
EDAC core fill it by default is a good thing.

It should noticed that, as the label filling happens at the
edac_mc_alloc(), drivers can override it to better describe the memories
(and some actually do it).
