Until now the papr_sysparm APIs have been kernel-internal. But user
space needs access to PAPR system parameters too. The only method
available to user space today to get or set system parameters is using
sys_rtas() and /dev/mem to pass RTAS-addressable buffers between user
space and firmware. This is incompatible with lockdown and should be
deprecated.
So provide an alternative ABI to user space in the form of a
/dev/papr-sysparm character device with just two ioctl commands (get
and set). The data payloads involved are small enough to fit in the
ioctl argument buffer, making the code relatively simple.
Exposing the system parameters through sysfs has been considered but
it would be too awkward:
* The kernel currently does not have to contain an exhaustive list of
defined system parameters. This is a convenient property to maintain
because we don't have to update the kernel whenever a new parameter
is added to PAPR. Exporting a named attribute in sysfs for each
parameter would negate this.
* Some system parameters are text-based and some are not.
* Retrieval of at least one system parameter requires input data,
which a simple read-oriented interface can't support.

PowerVM LPARs may retrieve Vital Product Data (VPD) for system
components using the ibm,get-vpd RTAS function.
We can expose this to user space with a /dev/papr-vpd character
device, where the programming model is:

When a file descriptor is obtained from ioctl(PAPR_VPD_CREATE_HANDLE),
the file contains the result of a complete ibm,get-vpd sequence. The
file contents are immutable from the POV of user space. To get a new
view of the VPD, the client must create a new handle.
This design choice insulates user space from most of the complexities
that ibm,get-vpd brings:
* ibm,get-vpd must be called more than once to obtain complete
results.
* Only one ibm,get-vpd call sequence should be in progress at a time;
interleaved sequences will disrupt each other. Callers must have a
protocol for serializing their use of the function.
* A call sequence in progress may receive a "VPD changed, try again"
status, requiring the client to abandon the sequence and start
over.
The memory required for the VPD buffers seems acceptable, around 20KB
for all VPD on one of my systems. And the value of the
/rtas/ibm,vpd-size DT property (the estimated maximum size of VPD) is
consistently 300KB across various systems I've checked.
I've implemented support for this new ABI in the rtas_get_vpd()
function in librtas, which the vpdupdate command currently uses to
populate its VPD database. I've verified that an unmodified vpdupdate
binary generates an identical database when using a librtas.so that
prefers the new ABI.
Along with the papr-vpd.h header exposed to user space, this
introduces a common papr-miscdev.h uapi header to share a base ioctl
ID with similar drivers to come.

"A Landlock ruleset can now handle two new access rights:
LANDLOCK_ACCESS_NET_BIND_TCP and LANDLOCK_ACCESS_NET_CONNECT_TCP. When
handled, the related actions are denied unless explicitly allowed by a
Landlock network rule for a specific port.
The related patch series has been reviewed for almost two years, it
has evolved a lot and we now have reached a decent design, code and
testing. The refactored kernel code and the new test helpers also
bring the foundation to support more network protocols.
Test coverage for security/landlock is 92.4% of 710 lines according to
gcc/gcov-13, and it was 93.1% of 597 lines before this series. The
decrease in coverage is due to code refactoring to make the ruleset
management more generic (i.e. dealing with inodes and ports) that also
added new WARN_ON_ONCE() checks not possible to test from user space.
syzkaller has been updated accordingly [4], and such patched instance
(tailored to Landlock) has been running for a month, covering all the
new network-related code [5]"

Allow mount point and root directory changes when there is no filesystem
rule tied to the current Landlock domain. This doesn't change anything
for now because a domain must have at least a (filesystem) rule, but
this will change when other rule types will come. For instance, a domain
only restricting the network should have no impact on filesystem
restrictions.
Add a new get_current_fs_domain() helper to quickly check filesystem
rule existence for all filesystem LSM hooks.
Remove unnecessary inlining.

Introduce support for attribute type bitfield32.
Note that since the generated code works with struct nla_bitfield32,
the generator adds netlink.h to the list of includes for userspace
headers in case any bitfield32 is present.
Note that this is added only to genetlink-legacy scheme as requested
by Jakub Kicinski.

We currently push everyone to use padding to align 64b values
in netlink. Un-padded nla_put_u64() doesn't even exist any more.

where DaveM was concerned about the alignment of a structure
containing 64b stats. If user space tries to access such struct
directly:

lack of alignment may become problematic for some architectures.
These days we most often put every single member in a separate
attribute, meaning that the code above would use a helper like
nla_get_u64(), which can deal with alignment internally.
Even for arches which don't have good unaligned access - access
aligned to 4B should be pretty efficient.
Kernel and well known libraries deal with unaligned input already.
Padded 64b is quite space-inefficient (64b + pad means at worst 16B
per attr vs 32b which takes 8B). It is also more typing:

value, NETDEV_A_SOMETHING_PAD))
Create a new attribute type which will use 32 bits at netlink
level if value is small enough (probably most of the time?),
and (4B-aligned) 64 bits otherwise. Kernel API is just:

Calling this new type "just" sint / uint with no specific size
will hopefully also make people more comfortable with using it.
Currently telling people "don't use u8, you may need the bits,
and netlink will round up to 4B, anyway" is the #1 comment
we give to newcomers.
In terms of netlink layout it looks like this:

The text is very, very old and predates /dev/mediaX devices, so the
reference to "media device" is today very confusing.
It also says that the ioctl is not supported by the driver, but a
driver may have multiple device nodes, some support a given ioctl,
and some don't.
Simplify the description: ENOTTY means that the ioctl is not supported
by the file descriptor.

- some Mediatek platform drivers were moved to a common location
- Intel atomisp2 driver is now working with the main ov2680 driver. Due
to that, the atomisp2 ov2680 staging one was removed
- the bttv driver was finally converted to videobuf2 framework. This
was the last one upstream using videobuf version 1 core. We'll likely
remove the old videobuf framework on 6.7
- lots of improvements at atomisp driver: it now works with normal I2C
sensors. Several compile-mode dependecies to select between ISP2400
and ISP2401 are now solved in runtime
- a new ipu-bridge logic was added to work with IVSC MEI drivers
- venus driver gained better support for new VPU versions
- the v4l core async framework has gained lots of improvements and
cleanups
- lots of other cleanups, improvements and driver fixes

The PFSM controls the operational states of the TPS6594 PMIC.
Depending on the operational mode, some power domain networks

Some drivers firmwares parse by themselves slice header and need
num_delta_pocs_of_ref_rps_idx value to parse slice header
short_term_ref_pic_set().
Use one of the 4 reserved bytes to store this value without
changing the v4l2_ctrl_hevc_decode_params structure size and padding.
This value also exist in DXVA API.

Some new FEC values was added to support DVB-S2X. They're properly
documented, but its addition adds some extra warnings to htmldocs
build. So, add them to the ignore list.
