The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

Registering a winch IRQ is racy, an interrupt may occur before the winch is
added to the winch_handlers list.
If that happens, register_winch_irq() adds to that list a winch that is
scheduled to be (or has already been) freed, causing a panic later in
winch_cleanup().
Avoid the race by adding the winch to the winch_handlers list before
registering the IRQ, and rolling back if um_request_irq() fails.

Opening the backing device only when the block device is opened is
a bit weird as no one configures block devices to not use them.
Opend them at add time, close them at remove time and remove the
now superflous opened counter as remove can simply check for
disk_openers.

The ARCH=um build has its own idea about strscpy()'s definition. Adjust
the callers to remove the redundant sizeof() arguments ahead of treewide
changes, since it needs a manual adjustment for the newly named
sized_strscpy() export.

With clang's kernel control flow integrity (kCFI, CONFIG_CFI_CLANG),
indirect call targets are validated against the expected function
pointer prototype to make sure the call target is valid to help mitigate
ROP attacks. If they are not identical, there is a failure at run time,
which manifests as either a kernel panic or thread getting killed. A
warning in clang aims to catch these at compile time, which reveals:

means this warning becomes a fatal CFI failure at run time.

When the winch thread runs into an error condition, it would exit(1) and
never be reaped until shutdown time. Change this to write a command byte
which causes the driver to kill it, therefore reaping the child.

`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1].
A suitable replacement is `strscpy` [2] due to the fact that it
guarantees NUL-termination on its destination buffer argument which is
_not_ the case for `strncpy`!
In this case, we are able to drop the now superfluous `... - 1`
instances because `strscpy` will automatically truncate the last byte by
setting it to a NUL byte if the source size exceeds the destination size
or if the source string is not NUL-terminated.
I've also opted to remove the seemingly useless char* casts. I'm not
sure why they're present at all since (after expanding the `ifr_name`
macro) `ifr.ifr_ifrn.ifrn_name` is a char* already.
All in all, `strscpy` is a more robust and less ambiguous interface
while also letting us remove some `... -1`'s which cleans things up a
bit.

Use "select" to ensure that the required kconfig symbols are set
as expected.
Drop HOSTAUDIO since it is now equivalent to UML_SOUND.
Set CONFIG_SOUND=m in ARCH=um defconfig files to maintain the
status quo of the default configs.
Allow SOUND with UML regardless of HAS_IOMEM. Otherwise there is a
kconfig warning for unmet dependencies. (This was not an issue when
SOUND was defined in arch/um/drivers/Kconfig. I have done 50 randconfig
builds and didn't find any issues.)
This fixes build errors when CONFIG_SOUND is not set:

All in all, `strscpy` is a more robust and less ambiguous interface
while also letting us remove some `... -1`'s which cleans things up a
bit.

The only overlap between the block open flags mapped into the fmode_t and
other uses of fmode_t are FMODE_READ and FMODE_WRITE. Define a new
blk_mode_t instead for use in blkdev_get_by_{dev,path}, ->open and
->ioctl and stop abusing fmode_t.

Since we no longer (want to) export any libc symbols the
_user portions of any drivers need to be built into image
rather than the module. I missed this for the watchdog.
Fix the watchdog accordingly.
