ce870af395 r8169: reset bus if NIC isn't accessible after tx timeout
ASPM issues may result in the NIC not being accessible any longer.
In this case disabling ASPM may not work. Therefore detect this case
by checking whether register reads return ~0, and try to make the
NIC accessible again by resetting the secondary bus.

v2:
- add exception handling for the case that pci_reset_bus() fails

80c0576ef1 r8169: disable ASPM in case of tx timeout
There are still single reports of systems where ASPM incompatibilities
cause tx timeouts. It's not clear whom to blame, so let's disable
ASPM in case of a tx timeout.

v2:

2ea26b4de6 Revert "r8169: disable detection of chip version 36"
This reverts commit 42666b2c45.

bb41c13c05 r8169: fix dmar pte write access is not set error
When close device, if wol is enabled, rx will be enabled. When open
device it will cause rx packet to be dma to the wrong memory address
after pci_set_master() and system log will show blow messages.

DMAR: DRHD: handling fault status reg 3
DMAR: [DMA Write] Request device [02:00.0] PASID ffffffff fault addr
ffdd4000 [fault reason 05] PTE Write access is not set

In this patch, driver disable tx/rx when close device. If wol is
enabled, only enable rx filter and disable rxdv_gate(if support) to
let hardware only receive packet to fifo but not to dma it.

42f66a44d8 r8169: enable GRO software interrupt coalescing per default
There are reports about r8169 not reaching full line speed on certain
systems (e.g. SBC's) with a 2.5Gbps link.
There was a time when hardware interrupt coalescing was enabled per
default, but this was changed due to ASPM-related issues on few systems.
So let's use software interrupt coalescing instead and enable it
using new function netdev_sw_irq_coalesce_default_on().

Even with these conservative settings interrupt load on my 1Gbps test
system reduced significantly.

4b6c6065fc r8169: use tp_to_dev instead of open code
The open code is defined as a helper function(tp_to_dev) on r8169_main.c,
which the open code is &tp->pci_dev->dev. The helper function was added
in commit 1e1205b7d3 ("r8169: add helper tp_to_dev"). And then later,
commit f1e911d5d0 ("r8169: add basic phylib support") added
r8169_phylink_handler function but it didn't use the helper function.
Thus, tp_to_dev() replaces the open code. This patch doesn't change logic.

b35b6d4d71 Merge tag 'pm-5.17-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rafael/linux-pm
Pull power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:
"The most signigicant change here is the addition of a new cpufreq
'P-state' driver for AMD processors as a better replacement for the
  venerable acpi-cpufreq driver.

There are also other cpufreq updates (in the core, intel_pstate, ARM
drivers), PM core updates (mostly related to adding new macros for
declaring PM operations which should make the lives of driver
developers somewhat easier), and a bunch of assorted fixes and
  cleanups.

  Summary:

   - Add new P-state driver for AMD processors (Huang Rui).

   - Fix initialization of min and max frequency QoS requests in the
     cpufreq core (Rafael Wysocki).

   - Fix EPP handling on Alder Lake in intel_pstate (Srinivas
     Pandruvada).

   - Make intel_pstate update cpuinfo.max_freq when notified of HWP
capabilities changes and drop a redundant function call from that
     driver (Rafael Wysocki).

   - Improve IRQ support in the Qcom cpufreq driver (Ard Biesheuvel,
     Stephen Boyd, Vladimir Zapolskiy).

   - Fix double devm_remap() in the Mediatek cpufreq driver (Hector
     Yuan).

   - Introduce thermal pressure helpers for cpufreq CPU cooling (Lukasz
     Luba).

   - Make cpufreq use default_groups in kobj_type (Greg Kroah-Hartman).

   - Make cpuidle use default_groups in kobj_type (Greg Kroah-Hartman).

   - Fix two comments in cpuidle code (Jason Wang, Yang Li).

   - Allow model-specific normal EPB value to be used in the intel_epb
sysfs attribute handling code (Srinivas Pandruvada).

   - Simplify locking in pm_runtime_put_suppliers() (Rafael Wysocki).

   - Add safety net to supplier device release in the runtime PM core
     code (Rafael Wysocki).

   - Capture device status before disabling runtime PM for it (Rafael
     Wysocki).

   - Add new macros for declaring PM operations to allow drivers to
avoid guarding them with CONFIG_PM #ifdefs or __maybe_unused and
update some drivers to use these macros (Paul Cercueil).

   - Allow ACPI hardware signature to be honoured during restore from
     hibernation (David Woodhouse).

   - Update outdated operating performance points (OPP) documentation
     (Tang Yizhou).

   - Reduce log severity for informative message regarding frequency
transition failures in devfreq (Tzung-Bi Shih).

   - Add DRAM frequency controller devfreq driver for Allwinner sunXi
     SoCs (Samuel Holland).

   - Add missing COMMON_CLK dependency to sun8i devfreq driver (Arnd
     Bergmann).

   - Add support for new layout of Psys PowerLimit Register on SPR to
the Intel RAPL power capping driver (Zhang Rui).

   - Fix typo in a comment in idle_inject.c (Jason Wang).

1bd3277188 r8169: don't use pci_irq_vector() in atomic context
Since referenced change pci_irq_vector() can't be used in atomic
context any longer. This conflicts with our usage of this function
in rtl8169_netpoll(). Therefore store the interrupt number in
struct rtl8169_private.

5ef11c56b2 r8169: Avoid misuse of pm_ptr() macro
The pm_ptr() macro should be used when the suspend and resume functions
can be compiled independently of the CONFIG_PM Kconfig option.

In the case of this driver, the suspend and resume functions are inside
a section protected by a #ifdef CONFIG_PM guard. Therefore pm_ptr()
should not be used.

4e9c91cf92 r8169: disable detection of chip version 60
It seems only XID 609 made it to the mass market. Therefore let's
disable detection of the other RTL8125a XID's. If nobody complains
we can remove support for RTL_GIGA_MAC_VER_60 later.

c75a9ad436 r8169: fix incorrect mac address assignment
The original changes brakes MAC address assignment on older chip
versions (see bug report [0]), and it brakes random MAC assignment.

is_valid_ether_addr() requires that its argument is word-aligned.
Add the missing alignment to array mac_addr.

4b5f82f6aa r8169: enable ASPM L1/L1.1 from RTL8168h
With newer chip versions ASPM-related issues seem to occur only if
L1.2 is enabled. I have a test system with RTL8168h that gives a
number of rx_missed errors when running iperf and L1.2 is enabled.
With L1.2 disabled (and L1 + L1.1 active) everything is fine.
See also [0]. Can't test this, but L1 + L1.1 being active should be
sufficient to reach higher package power saving states.
