ca17aa6640 crypto: lib/chacha - remove unused arch-specific init support
All implementations of chacha_init_arch() just call
chacha_init_generic(), so it is pointless.  Just delete it, and replace
chacha_init() with what was previously chacha_init_generic().

37d451809f crypto: skcipher - Make skcipher_walk src.virt.addr const
Mark the src.virt.addr field in struct skcipher_walk as a pointer
to const data.  This guarantees that the user won't modify the data
which should be done through dst.virt.addr to ensure that flushing
is done when necessary.

In fact this is raw data that is after the function end and that is
not text so shouldn't be disassembled as text. But ghashp8-ppc.S is
generated by a perl script and should have been marked as
OBJECT_FILES_NON_STANDARD.

Now that 'bla' is understood as a call instruction, that raw data
is mis-interpreted as an infra-function call.

Mark ghashp8-ppc.o as a OBJECT_FILES_NON_STANDARD to avoid this
warning.

17ec3e71ba crypto: lib/Kconfig - Hide arch options from user
The ARCH_MAY_HAVE patch missed arm64, mips and s390.  But it may
also lead to arch options being enabled but ineffective because
of modular/built-in conflicts.

As the primary user of all these options wireguard is selecting
the arch options anyway, make the same selections at the lib/crypto
option level and hide the arch options from the user.

Instead of selecting them centrally from lib/crypto, simply set
the default of each arch option as suggested by Eric Biggers.

Change the Crypto API generic algorithms to select the top-level
lib/crypto options instead of the generic one as otherwise there
is no way to enable the arch options (Eric Biggers).  Introduce a
set of INTERNAL options to work around dependency cycles on the
CONFIG_CRYPTO symbol.

1047e21aec crypto: lib/Kconfig - Fix lib built-in failure when arch is modular
The HAVE_ARCH Kconfig options in lib/crypto try to solve the
modular versus built-in problem, but it still fails when the
the LIB option (e.g., CRYPTO_LIB_CURVE25519) is selected externally.

Fix this by introducing a level of indirection with ARCH_MAY_HAVE
Kconfig options, these then go on to select the ARCH_HAVE options
if the ARCH Kconfig options matches that of the LIB option.

Pull CRC updates from Eric Biggers:

 - Reorganize the architecture-optimized CRC32 and CRC-T10DIF code to be
   directly accessible via the library API, instead of requiring the
   crypto API. This is much simpler and more efficient.

 - Convert some users such as ext4 to use the CRC32 library API instead
   of the crypto API. More conversions like this will come later.

 - Add a KUnit test that tests and benchmarks multiple CRC variants.
   Remove older, less-comprehensive tests that are made redundant by
   this.

 - Add an entry to MAINTAINERS for the kernel's CRC library code. I'm
   volunteering to maintain it. I have additional cleanups and
   optimizations planned for future cycles.

ee3c9c7e27 crypto: powerpc/p10-aes-gcm - simplify handling of linear associated data
p10_aes_gcm_crypt() is abusing the scatter_walk API to get the virtual
address for the first source scatterlist element.  But this code is only
built for PPC64 which is a !HIGHMEM platform, and it can read past a
page boundary from the address returned by scatterwalk_map() which means
it already assumes the address is from the kernel's direct map.  Thus,
just use sg_virt() instead to get the same result in a simpler way.

7439cfed1c powerpc/crc-t10dif: expose CRC-T10DIF function through lib
Move the powerpc CRC-T10DIF assembly code into the lib directory and
wire it up to the library interface.  This allows it to be used without
going through the crypto API.  It remains usable via the crypto API too
via the shash algorithms that use the library interface.  Thus all the
arch-specific "shash" code becomes unnecessary and is removed.

Note: to see the diff from arch/powerpc/crypto/crct10dif-vpmsum_glue.c
to arch/powerpc/lib/crc-t10dif-glue.c, view this commit with

Move the powerpc CRC32C assembly code into the lib directory and wire it
up to the library interface.  This allows it to be used without going
through the crypto API.  It remains usable via the crypto API too via

c954b252de crypto: powerpc/p10-aes-gcm - Register modules as SIMD
This patch is to fix an issue when simd is not usable that data mismatch
may occur. The fix is to register algs as SIMD modules so that the
algorithm is excecuted when SIMD instructions is usable.  Called
gcm_update() to generate the final digest if needed.

A new module rfc4106(gcm(aes)) is also added.

7aa747edcb crypto: powerpc/p10-aes-gcm - Re-write AES/GCM stitched implementation
Re-write AES/GCM assembly codes with smaller footprints and
small performance gain.  Handling the partial blocks differently that
computes partial block to AES states and re-assembles to a complete
block and then computes a full-block hash.

Added gcm_update() to update the last partial block hash value and
generate the final digest.

description is missing"), a module without a MODULE_DESCRIPTION() will
result in a warning with make W=1. The following warning is being

6963092601 powerpc/crypto/chacha-p10: Fix failure on non Power10
The chacha-p10-crypto module provides optimised chacha routines for
Power10. It also selects CRYPTO_ARCH_HAVE_LIB_CHACHA which says it
provides chacha_crypt_arch() to generic code.

Notably the module needs to provide chacha_crypt_arch() regardless of
whether it is loaded on Power10 or an older CPU.

The implementation of chacha_crypt_arch() already has a fallback to
chacha_crypt_generic(), however the module as a whole fails to load on
pre-Power10, because of the use of module_cpu_feature_match().

This breaks for example loading wireguard:

Fix it by removing module_cpu_feature_match(), and instead check the
CPU feature manually. If the CPU feature is not found, the module
still loads successfully, but doesn't register the Power10 specific
algorithms. That allows chacha_crypt_generic() to remain available for
use, fixing the problem.

git, so they should be ignored.  This is doing the same as the P8 files

The recently added P10 AES/GCM code added some files containing
CRYPTOGAMS perl-asm code which are near duplicates of the p8 files
found in drivers/crypto/vmx.

In particular the newly added files produce functions with identical
names to the existing code.

When the kernel is built with CONFIG_CRYPTO_AES_GCM_P10=y and
CONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_VMX_ENCRYPT=y that leads to link errors, eg:

This perl code is taken from the OpenSSL project and added gcm_init_htable function
used in the aes-gcm-p10-glue.c code to initialize hash table.  gcm_hash_p8 is used
to hash encrypted data blocks.
