dc654e84ab net: stmmac: sun8i: force select external PHY when no internal one

The PHY selection bit also exists on SoCs without an internal PHY; if it's
set to 1 (internal PHY, default value) then the MAC will not make use of
any PHY on such SoCs.

This problem appears when adapting for H6, which has no real internal PHY
(the "internal PHY" on H6 is not on-die, but on a co-packaged AC200 chip,
connected via RMII interface at GPIO bank A).

Force the PHY selection bit to 0 when the SOC doesn't have an internal PHY,
to address the problem of a wrong default value.

the default value of tx-frames is 25, it's too late when
passing tstamp to stack, then the ptp4l will fail:

ptp4l -i eth0 -f gPTP.cfg -m
ptp4l: selected /dev/ptp0 as PTP clock
ptp4l: port 1: INITIALIZING to LISTENING on INITIALIZE
ptp4l: port 0: INITIALIZING to LISTENING on INITIALIZE
ptp4l: port 1: link up
ptp4l: timed out while polling for tx timestamp
ptp4l: increasing tx_timestamp_timeout may correct this issue,
       but it is likely caused by a driver bug
ptp4l: port 1: send peer delay response failed
ptp4l: port 1: LISTENING to FAULTY on FAULT_DETECTED (FT_UNSPECIFIED)

ptp4l tests pass when changing the tx-frames from 25 to 1 with
ethtool -C option.
It should be fine to set tx-frames default value to 1, so ptp4l will pass
by default.

GMAC_RX_FLOW_CTRL_RFE/GMAC_RX_FLOW_CTRL_RFE bits,
so MAC hw will keep flow control on although expecting
flow control off by ethtool. Add codes to fix it.

e30df34901 net: stmmac: Prevent missing interrupts when running NAPI

When we trigger NAPI we are disabling interrupts but in case we receive
or send a packet in the meantime, as interrupts are disabled, we will
miss this event.

Trigger both NAPI instances (RX and TX) when at least one event happens
so that we don't miss any interrupts.

a6902fe436 net: stmmac: set IC bit when transmitting frames with HW timestamp

When transmitting certain PTP frames, e.g. SYNC and DELAY_REQ, the
PTP daemon, e.g. ptp4l, is polling the driver for the frame transmit
hardware timestamp. The polling will most likely timeout if the tx
coalesce is enabled due to the Interrupt-on-Completion (IC) bit is
not set in tx descriptor for those frames.

This patch will ignore the tx coalesce parameter and set the IC bit
when transmitting PTP frames which need to report out the frame
transmit hardware timestamp to user space.

ac086d4c5d net: stmmac: fixed new system time seconds value calculation

When ADDSUB bit is set, the system time seconds field is calculated as
the complement of the seconds part of the update value.

For example, if 3.000000001 seconds need to be subtracted from the
system time, this field is calculated as
2^32 - 3 = 4294967296 - 3 = 0x100000000 - 3 = 0xFFFFFFFD

Previously, the 0x100000000 is mistakenly written as 100000000.

This is further simplified from
  sec = (0x100000000ULL - sec);
to
  sec = -sec;

88bf99a6fe net: stmmac: update rx tail pointer register to fix rx dma hang issue.

Currently we will not update the receive descriptor tail pointer in
stmmac_rx_refill. Rx dma will think no available descriptors and stop
once received packets exceed DMA_RX_SIZE, so that the rx only test will fail.

Update the receive tail pointer in stmmac_rx_refill to add more descriptors
to the rx channel, so packets can be received continually

directly in promiscuous mode.

b561af36b1 net: stmmac: move stmmac_check_ether_addr() to driver probe
stmmac_check_ether_addr() checks the MAC address and assigns one in
driver open(). In many cases when we create slave netdevice, the dev
addr is inherited from master but the master dev addr maybe NULL at
that time, so move this call to driver probe so that address is
always valid.

e0c1d14a1a stmmac: pci: Adjust IOT2000 matching
Since there are more IOT2040 variants with identical hardware but
different asset tags, the asset tag matching should be adjusted to
support them.

For the board name "SIMATIC IOT2000", currently there are 2 types of
hardware, IOT2020 and IOT2040. The IOT2020 is identified by its unique
asset tag. Match on it first. If we then match on the board name only,
we will catch all IOT2040 variants. In the future there will be no other
devices with the "SIMATIC IOT2000" DMI board name but different
hardware.

8ac0c24fe1 net: stmmac: fix dropping of multi-descriptor RX frames
Packets without the last descriptor set should be dropped early. If we
receive a frame larger than the DMA buffer, the HW will continue using the
next descriptor. Driver mistakes these as individual frames, and sometimes
a truncated frame (without the LD set) may look like a valid packet.

This fixes a strange issue where the system replies to 4098-byte ping
although the MTU/DMA buffer size is set to 4096, and yet at the same
time it's logging an oversized packet.

07b3975352 net: stmmac: don't stop NAPI processing when dropping a packet
Currently, if we drop a packet, we exit from NAPI loop before the budget
is consumed. In some situations this will make the RX processing stall
e.g. when flood pinging the system with oversized packets, as the
errorneous packets are not dropped efficiently.

If we drop a packet, we should just continue to the next one as long as
the budget allows.

583e636141 net: stmmac: use correct DMA buffer size in the RX descriptor
We always program the maximum DMA buffer size into the receive descriptor,
although the allocated size may be less. E.g. with the default MTU size
we allocate only 1536 bytes. If somebody sends us a bigger frame, then
memory may get corrupted.

Fix by using exact buffer sizes.

223a960c01 net: stmmac: fix memory corruption with large MTUs
When using 16K DMA buffers and ring mode, the DES3 refill is not working
correctly as the function is using a bogus pointer for checking the
private data. As a result stale pointers will remain in the RX descriptor
ring, so DMA will now likely overwrite/corrupt some already freed memory.

As simple reproducer, just receive some UDP traffic:

	# ifconfig eth0 down; ifconfig eth0 mtu 9000; ifconfig eth0 up
	# iperf3 -c 192.168.253.40 -u -b 0 -R

If you didn't crash by now check the RX descriptors to find non-contiguous
RX buffers:

	cat /sys/kernel/debug/stmmaceth/eth0/descriptors_status

A simple ping test will now report bad data:

	8208 bytes from 192.168.253.40: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=1.00 ms
	wrong data byte #8144 should be 0xd0 but was 0x88

Fix the wrong pointer. Also we must refill DES3 only if the DMA buffer
size is 16K.

58f2ce6f61 net: stmmac: fix jumbo frame sending with non-linear skbs
When sending non-linear skbs with jumbo frames, we set up the non-paged
data and mark that as a last segment, although the paged fragments are
also prepared. This will stall the TX queue and trigger a watchdog warning
(a simple reproducer is to run an iperf client mode TCP test with a large
MTU - networking fails instantly).

Fix by checking if the skb is non-linear.

80acbed9f8 net: stmmac: don't set own bit too early for jumbo frames
Commit 0e80bdc9a7 ("stmmac: first frame prep at the end of xmit
routine") overlooked jumbo frames when re-ordering the code, and as a
result the own bit was not getting set anymore for the first jumbo frame
descriptor. Commit 487e2e22ab ("net: stmmac: Set OWN bit for jumbo
frames") tried to fix this, but now the bit is getting set too early and
the DMA may start while we are still setting up the remaining descriptors.
And with the chain mode the own bit remains still unset.

Fix by setting the own bit at the end of xmit also with jumbo frames.

Clang is concerned with the use of stmmac_do_void_callback (which
stmmac_get_systime wraps), as it may fail to initialize these values if
the if condition was ever false (meaning the callback doesn't exist).
It's not wrong because the callback is what initializes ns. While it's
unlikely that the callback is going to disappear at some point and make
that condition false, we can easily avoid this warning by zero
initializing the variable.

Clang is concerned with the use of stmmac_do_void_callback (which
stmmac_get_timestamp and stmmac_config_sub_second_increment wrap),
as it may fail to initialize these values if the if condition was ever
false (meaning the callbacks don't exist). It's not wrong because the
callbacks (get_timestamp and config_sub_second_increment respectively)
are the ones that initialize the variables. While it's unlikely that the
callbacks are ever going to disappear and make that condition false, we
can easily avoid this warning by zero initialize the variables.

While at it, refactor a little bit the function:

	  only clear the interrupts that are enabled so, no event will
	  be missed.

In my tests withe XGMAC2 this increased performance.

4ccb45857c net: stmmac: Fix NAPI poll in TX path when in multi-queue
Commit 8fce333170 introduced the concept of NAPI per-channel and
independent cleaning of TX path.

This is currently breaking performance in some cases. The scenario
happens when all packets are being received in Queue 0 but the TX is
performed in Queue != 0.

Fix this by using different NAPI instances per each TX and RX queue, as
suggested by Florian.

	- Only force restart transmission if there are pending packets

8a7493e58a net: stmmac: Fix a race in EEE enable callback
We are saving the status of EEE even before we try to enable it. This
leads to a race with XMIT function that tries to arm EEE timer before we
set it up.

Fix this by only saving the EEE parameters after all operations are
performed with success.

In dwmac4_wrback_get_rx_timestamp_status we looking for a RX timestamp.
For that receive descriptors are handled and so we should use defines
related to receive descriptors. It'll no change the functional behavior
as RDES3_RDES1_VALID=TDES3_RS1V=BIT(26) but it makes code easier to read.

7d8e249f39 net: stmmac: fix ptp timestamping on Rx on gmac4
The current driver only enables Pdelay_Req and Pdelay_Resp when
HWTSTAMP_FILTER_PTP_V2_EVENT, HWTSTAMP_FILTER_PTP_V1_L4_EVENT or
HWTSTAMP_FILTER_PTP_V2_L4_EVENT is requested. This results in ptp sync on
slave mode to report 'received SYNC without timestamp' when using ptp4l.

Although the hardware can support Sync, Pdelay_Req and Pdelay_resp by
setting bit14 annd bits 17/16 to 01 this leaves Delay_Req timestamps out.

Fix this by enabling all event and general messages timestamps.
This includes SYNC, Follow_Up, Delay_Req, Delay_Resp, Pdelay_Req,
Pdelay_Resp and Pdelay_Resp_Follow_Up messages.

e2cd682deb net: stmmac: Disable EEE mode earlier in XMIT callback
In stmmac xmit callback we use a different flow for TSO packets but TSO
xmit callback is not disabling the EEE mode.

Fix this by disabling earlier the EEE mode, i.e. before calling the TSO
xmit callback.

c5acdbee22 net: stmmac: Send TSO packets always from Queue 0
The number of TSO enabled channels in HW can be different than the
number of total channels. There is no way to determined, at runtime, the
number of TSO capable channels and its safe to assume that if TSO is
enabled then at least channel 0 will be TSO capable.

Lets always send TSO packets from Queue 0.
