bd1fd0a02e regulator: pca9450: Remove restrictions for regulator-name
commit b0de7fa706 upstream.

The device bindings shouldn't put any constraints on the regulator-name
property specified in the generic bindings. This allows using arbitrary
and descriptive names for the regulators.

63fbab985a dt-bindings: riscv: fix SiFive l2-cache's cache-sets
commit b60cf8e59e upstream.

Fix device tree schema validation error messages for the SiFive
Unmatched: ' cache-sets:0:0: 1024 was expected'.

The existing bindings allow for just 1024 cache-sets but the fu740 on
Unmatched the has 2048 cache-sets. The ISA itself permits any arbitrary
power of two, however this is not supported by dt-schema. The RTL for
the IP, to which the number of cache-sets is a tunable parameter, has
been released publicly so speculatively adding a small number of
"reasonable" values seems unwise also.

Instead, as the binding only supports two distinct controllers: add 2048
and explicitly lock it to the fu740's l2 cache while limiting 1024 to
the l2 cache on the fu540.

larb@16010000: 'mediatek,larb-id' is a required property

As the description of mediatek,larb-id, the property is only
required when the larbid is not consecutive from its IOMMU point of view.

Also, from the description of mediatek, larbs in
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iommu/mediatek,iommu.yaml, all the larbs
must sort by the larb index.

In mt8167, there is only one IOMMU HW and three larbs. The drivers already
know its larb index from the mediatek, larbs property of IOMMU, thus no
need this property.

c22bddf61d ARM: dts: Fix timer regression for beagleboard revision c
[ Upstream commit 23885389db ]

Commit e428e250fd ("ARM: dts: Configure system timers for omap3")
caused a timer regression for beagleboard revision c where the system
clockevent stops working if omap3isp module is unloaded.

Turns out we still have beagleboard revisions a-b4 capacitor c70 quirks
applied that limit the usable timers for no good reason. This also affects
the power management as we use the system clock instead of the 32k clock
source.

Let's fix the issue by adding a new omap3-beagle-ab4.dts for the old timer
quirks. This allows us to remove the timer quirks for later beagleboard
revisions. We also need to update the related timer quirk check for the
correct compatible property.

c15d1468f3 dt-bindings: thermal: Fix definition of cooling-maps contribution property
[ Upstream commit 49bcb1506f ]

When converting the thermal-zones bindings to yaml the definition of the
contribution property changed. The intention is the same, an integer
value expressing a ratio of a sum on how much cooling is provided by the
device to the zone. But after the conversion the integer value is
limited to the range 0 to 100 and expressed as a percentage.

This is problematic for two reasons.

- This do not match how the binding is used. Out of the 18 files that
make use of the property only two (ste-dbx5x0.dtsi and
ste-hrefv60plus.dtsi) sets it at a value that satisfy the binding,
  100. The remaining 16 files set the value higher and fail to validate.

- Expressing the value as a percentage instead of a ratio of the sum is
confusing as there is nothing to enforce the sum in the zone is not
  greater then 100.

This patch restore the pre yaml conversion description and removes the
value limitation allowing the usage of the bindings to validate.

439250c097 dt-bindings: media: nxp,imx7-mipi-csi2: Drop bad if/then schema
[ Upstream commit b54472a02c ]

The if/then schema for 'data-lanes' doesn't work as 'compatible' is at a
different level than 'data-lanes'. To make it work, the if/then schema
would have to be moved to the top level and then whole hierarchy of
nodes down to 'data-lanes' created. I don't think it is worth the
complexity to do that, so let's just drop it.

The error in this schema is masked by a fixup in the tools causing the
'allOf' to get overwritten. Removing the fixup as part of moving to
json-schema draft 2019-09 revealed the issue:

Documentation/devicetree/bindings/media/nxp,imx7-mipi-csi2.example.dt.yaml: mipi-csi@30750000: ports:port@0:endpoint:data-lanes:0: [1] is too short

	From schema: /builds/robherring/linux-dt-review/Documentation/devicetree/bindings/media/nxp,imx7-mipi-csi2.yaml

The if condition was always true because 'compatible' did not exist in

e61d145a08 regulator: s5m8767: do not use reset value as DVS voltage if GPIO DVS is disabled
commit b16bef60a9 upstream.

The driver and its bindings, before commit 04f9f068a6 ("regulator:
s5m8767: Modify parsing method of the voltage table of buck2/3/4") were
requiring to provide at least one safe/default voltage for DVS registers
if DVS GPIO is not being enabled.

IOW, if s5m8767,pmic-buck2-uses-gpio-dvs is missing, the
s5m8767,pmic-buck2-dvs-voltage should still be present and contain one
voltage.

This requirement was coming from driver behavior matching this condition
(none of DVS GPIO is enabled): it was always initializing the DVS
selector pins to 0 and keeping the DVS enable setting at reset value
(enabled). Therefore if none of DVS GPIO is enabled in devicetree,
driver was configuring the first DVS voltage for buck[234].

Mentioned commit 04f9f068a6 ("regulator: s5m8767: Modify parsing
method of the voltage table of buck2/3/4") broke it because DVS voltage
won't be parsed from devicetree if DVS GPIO is not enabled. After the
change, driver will configure bucks to use the register reset value as
voltage which might have unpleasant effects.

Fix this by relaxing the bindings constrain: if DVS GPIO is not enabled
in devicetree (therefore DVS voltage is also not parsed), explicitly
disable it.

1d0a779892 dt-bindings: pinctrl: brcm,ns-pinmux: drop unneeded CRU from example
There is no need to include CRU in example of this binding. It wasn't
complete / correct anyway. The proper binding can be find in the
mfd/brcm,cru.yaml .

0398adaec3 Revert "dt-bindings: pinctrl: bcm4708-pinmux: rework binding to use syscon"
This reverts commit 2ae80900f2.

My rework was unneeded & wrong. It replaced a clear & correct "reg"
property usage with a custom "offset" one.

Back then I didn't understand how to properly handle CRU block binding.
I heard / read about syscon and tried to use it in a totally invalid
way. That change also missed Rob's review (obviously).

Northstar's pin controller is a simple consistent hardware block that
can be cleanly mapped using a 0x24 long reg space.

Since the rework commit there wasn't any follow up modifying in-kernel
DTS files to use the new binding. Broadcom also isn't known to use that
bugged binding. There is close to zero chance this revert may actually
cause problems / regressions.

This commit is a simple revert. Example binding may (should) be updated
/ cleaned up but that can be handled separately.
