Tvrtko Ursulin 0a36e37b8d iommu/dma: Add ability to configure NUMA allocation policy for remapped allocations
Add iommu_dma_numa_policy= kernel parameter which can be used to modify
the NUMA allocation policy of remapped buffer allocations.

Policy is only used for devices which are not associated with a NUMA node.

Syntax identical to what tmpfs accepts as it's mpol argument is accepted.

Some examples:

 iommu_dma_numa_policy=interleave
 iommu_dma_numa_policy=interleave=skip-interleave
 iommu_dma_numa_policy=bind:0-3,5,7,9-15
 iommu_dma_numa_policy=bind=static:1-2

Linux kernel

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.

In order to build the documentation, use make htmldocs or make pdfdocs. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
