commitf9cd6a4418upstream. Recently I encountered one case where I cannot increase the MTU size directly from 1500 to a much bigger value with XDP enabled if the server is equipped with IXGBE card, which happened on thousands of servers in production environment. After applying the current patch, we can set the maximum MTU size to 3K. This patch follows the behavior of changing MTU as i40e/ice does. References: [1] commit23b44513c3("ice: allow 3k MTU for XDP") [2] commit0c8493d90b("i40e: add XDP support for pass and drop actions") Fixes:fabf1bce10("ixgbe: Prevent unsupported configurations with XDP") Signed-off-by: Jason Xing <kernelxing@tencent.com> Reviewed-by: Alexander Duyck <alexanderduyck@fb.com> Tested-by: Chandan Kumar Rout <chandanx.rout@intel.com> (A Contingent Worker at Intel) Signed-off-by: Tony Nguyen <anthony.l.nguyen@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
