[ Upstream commitca4ef4574f] The skbs processed by ip_cmsg_recv() are not guaranteed to be linear e.g. when sending UDP packets over loopback with MSGMORE. Using csum_partial() on [potentially] the whole skb len is dangerous; instead be on the safe side and use skb_checksum(). Thanks to syzkaller team to detect the issue and provide the reproducer. v1 -> v2: - move the variable declaration in a tighter scope Fixes:ad6f939ab1("ip: Add offset parameter to ip_cmsg_recv") Reported-by: Andrey Konovalov <andreyknvl@google.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com> Acked-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
