[ Upstream commit5872331b3d] If for any reason a directory passed to do_split() does not have enough active entries to exceed half the size of the block, we can end up iterating over all "count" entries without finding a split point. In this case, count == move, and split will be zero, and we will attempt a negative index into map[]. Guard against this by detecting this case, and falling back to split-to-half-of-count instead; in this case we will still have plenty of space (> half blocksize) in each split block. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
