Commitee774dac0d("x86/entry: Move PUSH_AND_CLEAR_REGS out of error_entry()") moved PUSH_AND_CLEAR_REGS out of error_entry, into its own function, in part to avoid calling error_entry() for XenPV. However, commit7c81c0c921("x86/entry: Avoid very early RET") had to change that because the 'ret' was too early and moved it into idtentry, bloating the text size, since idtentry is expanded for every exception vector. However, with the advent of xen_error_entry() in commitd147553b64("x86/xen: Add UNTRAIN_RET") it became possible to remove PUSH_AND_CLEAR_REGS from idtentry, back into *error_entry(). be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
