[ Upstream commit7a3b8758bd] Compile-testing the ixp4xx timer with CONFIG_OF enabled but CONFIG_TIMER_OF disabled leads to a harmless warning: arm-linux-gnueabi-ld: warning: orphan section `__timer_of_table' from `drivers/clocksource/timer-ixp4xx.o' being placed in section `__timer_of_table' Move the select statement from the platform code into the driver so it always gets enabled in configurations that rely on it. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
