[ Upstream commit4fe5934db4] Commit279f838a61("x86/amd: Detect preferred cores in amd_get_boost_ratio_numerator()") introduced the ability to detect the preferred core on AMD platforms by checking if there at least two distinct highest_perf values. However, it uses for_each_present_cpu() to iterate through all the CPUs in the platform, which is problematic when the kernel is booted with "nosmt=force" commandline option. Hence limit the search to only the online CPUs. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
