[ Upstream commita02d83f994] Currently, kernel would set MSG_CTRUNC flag if msg_control buffer wasn't provided and SO_PASSCRED was set or if there was pending SCM_RIGHTS. For some reason we have no corresponding check for SO_PASSSEC. In the recvmsg(2) doc we have: MSG_CTRUNC indicates that some control data was discarded due to lack of space in the buffer for ancillary data. So, we need to set MSG_CTRUNC flag for all types of SCM. This change can break applications those don't check MSG_CTRUNC flag. Cc: "David S. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
