[ Upstream commitccb5ecdc2d] Before commit8fcc4ae6fa("arm64: acpi: Make apei_claim_sea() synchronise with APEI's irq work"), do_sea() would unconditionally signal the affected task from the arch code. Since that change, the GHES driver sends the signals. This exposes a problem as errors the GHES driver doesn't understand or doesn't handle effectively are silently ignored. It will cause the errors get taken again, and circulate endlessly. User-space task get stuck in this loop. Existing firmware on Kunpeng9xx systems reports cache errors with the 'ARM Processor Error' CPER records. Do memory failure handling for ARM Processor Error Section just like for Memory Error Section. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
